Book Selling

“Book Selling”

Anne Donovan is a war nurse and who is a soldier in the Vietnamese war

In the Vietnamese war Captain Anne Donovan is the captain of the nursing place and she doesn't just want to be a nurse she wants to be a soldier at the same time.

The Crown Jewels

WALT: to write a story suitable to entertain a  5-6 year old.         
      The Crown Jewels
Once upon a time there were two villains named Bulbie and Charlie. They cut people with their paws because they are a different breed of dog. They are grass and fire type dogs  and they are super villains that have stolen a lot of precious valuables like the Mona Lisa, the only 24 carat diamond ring in the world. Then there is Kidbatman and Mini Robin, they are the protectors of New York City. Their base is Bruce O'Connell's bedroom and Bruce O’Connell is Kidbatman.

Bruce O’Connell and Joshua Kidmen were in their base playing a game of cards, Bruce O'Connell said “ Ha I’ve got 4 aces I win”
“Oh well I guess that's another game to you,” said Joshua once again weeping in defeat.
They turned on the T.V and watched the news
“ Wow I knew it was really tragic in Australia but why do they have the DreamWorld story over in New York,” said Bruce.
But then the real thing that mattered to Bruce and Joshua came on, Bulbie and Charlie stole the crown jewels of New York.
“Oh no the crown jewels of New York  have been stolen it’s time to catch them,” Joshua screamed
“Let's go,” said Kidbatman.

When they arrived at the famous museum of New York they asked the janitor “Did you by any chance see the famous criminals bulbie and charlie
“ Yeah, they said they were going to the rabbit hole of the biggest field in the city, Zarrah fields,” Replied the janitor.
“ Ok,” yelled Kidbatman, “ Off to the Zarrah fields we go.”
So the super duo arrived at Zarrah fields.
“ Ok,” said Mini Robin, “ the janitor said they are in one of the holes,” even though there are like 20 holes.
So they went into the first hole and what do you know there they were , Bulbie and Charlie
“ Ok Bulbie and Charlie give us back the crown jewels or else,” yelled Kidbatman “
Never,” shrieked Bulbie
“Ok,” yelled Kidbatman “We can do this the easy way or we could do it the hard way” so bulbie didn’t say anything Kidbatman ran down the hole and with one flick charlie was knocked out. But Bulbie was the real hard one to get, Kidbatman had to run everywhere but couldn't find him but didn’t give up. He was still looking through all the little holes and found him in the last hole he gave him a big punch to the noggin and then took the Crown Jewels


So Kidbatman returned the crown jewels and got the city key of New York. Mini Robin was officially named a super hero. Bulbie and Charlie got isolated from everyone in their hole playing cards for the rest of their lives, and lived happily ever after.

Dream Big Design/Persuasive Writing


TV Table
I have got a TV table because if the teacher is working with a group it will be easier to show students about their learning than having to hook it up to the TV in the wall.
Whiteboard table
I have got a whiteboard table because if they were doing maths they could just come over to the whiteboard table and do what their teacher assigned them to do.

The Quiet Area
The quiet area is made to block out the sound of other people so people that want to work in silence can work in silence.

The Collaboration area
The collaboration area is opposite of the quiet area it is a place where you can work in  
Groups of 2-3 to get your work done to a high standard.

            
Oaklands in the future
Are you getting bored of the normal classrooms do you think the reason students are not getting their learning done is they need modern classrooms, that is what i’ll be talking to you about today because I strongly believe the school being more modernized will be important to Oaklands school in the future.

My first and most important reason is students will be more encouraged to learn. Children can have a good time learning because they know that they can achieve their goals because they have got the more modern technology. If we had a quiet zone for the students that like to work in silence could go in there and would make a lot more progress on their learning because there is nothing to disturb them, if we had a collaboration area students could work together on their learning.

Secondly the students could learn new subjects that they don’t learn on a daily basis. Students would learn how to cook food and that is something crucial in life and learn some science which you need to know because you need to know how things work in the world. It would also be really helpful to know about robotics because the world is a lot more digital than it use to be so I assume that there will be robots later in life so it would be good to know how to work and programme them.

Finally there should be more teachers in a classroom. Instead of one teacher getting harassed about 5 subjects there could be 3-4 teachers in one classroom that have different strengths about different subjects. If there was 3-4 teachers in a classroom the students would get things done a lot quicker because they don't have to wait in line for so long they can talk to the teacher and get on with their work.

I have stated why more modernized schools are important to the learning process, students can learn more on a daily basis and why there should be more that one teacher in a classroom. Furthermore I strongly believe that Oaklands school should be more modernized.

School uniforms at school

Not Wearing School Uniform at School
(Introduction)
Do you like school uniforms? I know I don’t. School uniforms leave your clothes worthless and school uniforms are overpriced. So in my opinion, I strongly believe we shouldn’t need to wear school uniforms at school.                                                                                                                                                  
(Paragraph 1)
My first and most important reason for not wearing a school uniform for school is the cost. At most stores that sell school uniforms, it is really expensive; it costs $108 just for a shirt, shorts and a polar fleece, I mean that is absolutely crazy, that is about 4 sets of normal clothes. Wo would you like to spend $108 on one uniform or more mufti clothes? If your school has 8 grades in it and you are like me you are spending a load of money on just school uniform and then school fees while the price of normal clothes for 8 years would be about half the price of uniforms for 8 years. Every year you will grow and when you grow you will need to buy a new set of clothes every year and that will cost way too much than you can nearly afford.

Secondly, in my opinion, another reason school uniforms should not have to be worn is it can be uncomfortable wearing your school uniform. If you have ever been running around in the steaming hot weather the school uniform stays hot and won’t turn cooler until you’re inside and may not cause a good lunch time but a “ I am about to melt” lunch time. On the other hand with your normal clothes, they are way thinner so you can keep playing and finally have a good,  cooler lunch time in that burning weather. Also, when you are trying to do your learning, they can get really uncomfortable that you can't put up with it so you would always  have to try to get a position where you are comfortable and that can cause you to get nothing done.

My third and final reason, is you have got so many clothes why not wear them? So when you are wearing your school uniform you don't even have that many pairs ( because as I said earlier it is so expensive) while in your drawers are several piles of clothes, I mean come on people your clothes are just sitting there in your draw not being worn. If you are wearing school uniform your parents are basically wasting money on clothes you don't really need because they are in your drawer not being worn, but if we wear mufti clothes our clothes will have a purpose.
(Conclusion)
So in my opinion, I strongly believe we should not have to wear school uniform for the reasons I have explained.

I think my persuasive is level 4 writing because I compared it to the hard chairs writing and it seems quite similar to it because I had a lot of detail and it also had a lot as well, and it also had more than enough detail to persuade others.

There are lots of people that you can say in Mandarin.
Ma ma (mum), Ba ba (Dad), ge ge (big brother), jie jie ( big sister), di di (little brother), mei mei (little sister) and wo (I)
E.g. Wo ai ma ma he ba ba (I love mum and dad)
or Ma ma ai ge ge he di di  ( Mum loves big brother and little brother)
You can also change it up
Wo ai chi cao mei (I love eating strawberry's)

Rio Olympic SML



IALT Use the media of your choice to design an Olympic stadium / village.  Consider the range of sports that need to be covered, the expected number of spectators, athlete accommodation and parking / transportation.  Be ready to discuss your design and answer questions!

I think I did really well with designing a stadium on google drawings because I made good use of the space and had the main stadiums at the Rio Olympics. I found it challenging to add different kinds of shapes into the bigger shape for example adding the inside shape into the Velodrome.
